Now I’m happy to share here with you some information about new or popular toys that will be on the shelves for the 2014 holiday season.

It was no surprise to see Activision at the Holiday Showcase. The new Sylanders expansion, Skylanders Trap team, is set to be one of the hottest games this season. Trap Team opens up a whole new dimension of gameplay. Kids can now help the Skylanders find and trap some of Skylands most notorious villans. We got to preview the game, and I was most impressed by the new Portal of Power, which is now equipped with a speaker that plays sounds and voices from the trapped villans as you return to Skylands and have them fight along side you! MSRP: $74.99
Two of my favorite toys from Crayola this year are the Virtual Design Pro Car Collection and the Virtual Design Pro Fashion Collection! Kids design and color either cars or clothing, then scan their designs in to the free app available for smartphones and tablets. The designs are transported to a stunt course or runway for personalized game play! MSRP $39.99
Playmates Toys Half Shell Heroes is a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle line geared towards children ages 3 and up. My boys love TMNT and we’ve had our share of broken toys because the Bean is so rough with them. I was really excited to see toys marketed for his age.
