I can’t believe how quickly Thanksgiving is approaching this year! While we normally travel to visit family, this year Baby Benjamin is due the very same week as our favorite pie-filled holiday and it looks like we will be spending turkey day at home. Of course we will still decorate our table as always with these Printable “Thankful For” Place cards, and slather homemade Pumpkin Honey Butter on our Cornbread, but I know the boys will miss seeing so much of their extended family. I’ve been trying to come up with some fun new traditions myself, and a Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt Free Printable felt like the perfect new family tradition!
I made two printables, which you can download below, one for my younger boys and and a slightly longer one for my oldest son. I plan to have a special treat waiting for them when they complete the scavenger hunt, I just haven’t decided exactly what it will be yet. You can also laminate these and use dry erase markers to check off each item, then just erase them and put them away with your seasonal items for next year as well!

This Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt free printable has a slightly longer list, which might be better at keeping older kids busy for a bit longer!
After dinner we plan to break out our copy of The Christmas Game along with some holiday music to kick off the next phase of our holiday season. Hopefully we’ll be packing into the car the next morning to cut down our Christmas tree – which is personally my favorite tradition. I love the watching the excitement roll off my boys as they choose the perfect tree, determined to help their Dad cut it down and get it back to the car, the whole time excitedly talking about the decorations they want to hang and the gifts they imagine will be under it come Christmas morning! Let me know what some of your favorite Thanksgiving traditions are in the comments – Inspire me!
