To say that these toys really stink is a true compliment when you’re talking about the smelliest, stinkiest toy we’ve seen, Stink Bugzzz by Alex Brands are designed to delight the hearts of little boys everywhere.
We had the.. um… pleasure of reviewing Skunk Mantis, a toy that claims to be from the disgusting depths of the Skunky burrows. A claim that I find to be particularly accurate, by the way. There are four Stink Bugzzz to collect: Skunk Mantis, Swampy Skeeter, Trashy Turdmite and Mulch Maggot. Each bug comes packaged in a clear plastic container to preserve their stinky odor (be thankful for this, it keeps the smell in!) and each boast their own special kind of stench. Of course there is also the gem of this collection – The Parasite Pack, which features for smelly parasites and a Master Blaster to help amplify the smell!
Just opening the jar is enough for a strong whiff of ewwww, but for more fun children can squeeze the bugz, sending a disgusting scent into the air. My boys were delighted to chase each other spewing a skunky scent at each other, or sneaking up on unsuspecting guests and blasting them with the stench.
At this point you may be wondering why you would buy such a toy. If you have little boys you may have noticed by now that they gravitate to the gross and smelly. Stink Bugzzz are fun way to let them have at it! To be honest, at first I wasn’t sure it would hold their attention for long. I obviously know nothing, because one sniff had them captivated by their smelly friend. We liked them because they are simple toys that were a lot of fun for the boys and we were happy to give them an outlet for their sometimes super silly, goofy sense of humor!
