The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. I love not only celebrating our Country, but also using Independence Day as an opportunity to teach the kids about history in a fun way. We go all out with food and games and I love to decorate. My Fourth of July decorations tend to stick around until fall, so I try to choose things that will look great in our home all summer long. I grew up with Precious Moments, receiving them as gifts for birthdays and major events. I love that Precious Moments has been making these perfect bisque porcelain figurines for over 40 years. It’s rare to find something from my own childhood that I can still share with my own children. Over the years Precious Moments has produced figurines to celebrate every holiday, occasion and milestone. From First Birthdays to Weddings and everything in between, Precious Moments makes it easy to begin a meaningful collection. When asked to review a figurine that celebrates the 4th of July I was definitely excited to see a Precious Moments take on one of my favorite holidays.
I chose the Precious Moments I Love America figurine to review. This bisque porcelain figure features Uncle Sam decked out in his Patriotic best, standing atop a star. In his hands is clutched a piece of paper proudly declaring his love for the U.S.A. In classic Precious Moments form this figurine manages to capture the joy and celebration of the holiday in a soft and gentle way. This piece quickly became a favorite decor item in our home.
With red and white striped pants, a blue blazer and a hat adorned with stars & stripes, I Love America captures the beauty of our flag in soft colors.
The star shaped base is a perfect finish. This figurine stands 6 1/4″ tall. This is a figurine not only perfect for the 4th of July, but as a piece to celebrate our beautiful Country all year long!
