It is officially Fall! Leaves are on the ground, sweaters are hanging by the door and pumpkin spice is everywhere! I love fall entertaining, and between school events, playdates and four fall birthdays in our home, it feels like there is always company on the way or a surprise guest at the door. Which is why I love, love, love this super fun and easy Pumpkin Patch Cake recipe!
This is also my go to for kids playdates and parties in the fall. You can make it in individual plastic cups from the party store and serve Pumpkin Patch Cake instead of cupcakes, or make it in a baking dish and serve scoops from the pumpkin patch, topped with whipped cream. It’s always the first thing to go at Halloween parties or festival bake sales!
I use The Bakery at Walmart Pumpkin Cake Roll with Cream Cheese filling because the cake is moist, packed with pumpkin flavor and filled with a cream cheese filling that’s perfectly sweetened and Reddi–wip® whipped cream because it gives this cake a creamy, smooth texture without making it too heavy.
You’ll Need:
- The Bakery at Walmart Pumpkin Cake Roll with Cream Cheese Filling
- Reddi-wip 13oz Original or Extra Creamy
- 2 Cups Ready to eat Vanilla Pudding
- Cream Filled Chocolate Sandwich Cookies (about 15)
- Cream Cheese or Vanilla Frosting
- Green Food Dye
- Candy Pumpkins
First, head to Walmart for your ingredients. You can find The Bakery at Walmart Pumpkin Cake Roll with Cream Cheese Filling in the refrigerated section of the bakery.
Then pop over to the refrigerated grocery section to find Reddi-wip! I used Original, but go ahead and grab the Extra Creamy!
To get started dye your frosting green using a few drops of green food coloring at a time, until you reach the desire color. Fill a ziploc bag with frosting and set aside.
Next, use a food processor to crush the cookies into a dirt like consistency. You can also do this by placing the cookies in a freezer bag and crushing them with a rolling pin. Set the crushed cookies aside.
In a large bowl crumble the entire Pumpkin Cake Roll, and add all of the vanilla pudding. Mix it together well, then begin adding the Reddi-wip. I use about half a can, but just keep going until you’ve got a nice smooth texture.
Spread the mixture into a baking dish, or fill individual cups. Sprinkle crushed cookie all over the top to look like dirt.
Place candy pumpkins and cut a very small hole in the corner of the plastic bag filled with frosting. Use the bag to pipe green vines over the top of the cake.
Keep refrigerated until you’re ready to serve!
Just like that you’ve got a festive and delicious dessert!
We’re getting together with friends to go apple and pumpkin picking next week, so you can bet this dessert will be waiting for us when we get home!

This looks so yummy and you totally had me at “No Bake”! I am all in for that! I always have RediWhip around the house too. I use it on everything! Having it on top of my coffee right now!

You just made my day! I love fun and easy recipes, especially ones that my boys can help make and enjoy! I’m also a huge fan of all things pumpkin! I’m totally going to make these in a few weeks for our homeschool group! 🙂
I am all about a yummy no bake recipe! I love this idea! I know my daughter would enjoy it too!
Now this sounds like my kind of no bake desert! I will definitely have to try this recipe out!!
Oh my gosh the Walmart bakery always has the best items. I need to pick up that cake and make these for my family. They will be sold when they see the Reddi whip on top.
I love no bake recipes. This looks delicious too. I love how cute and put together it is. I am going to have to try this one out.
It looks really awesome! You had me at no bake. I’m a huge fan of recipes that don’t require baking because I sometimes don’t have time to bake treats. I’m sure this is delicious!
That looks really good. Looks like it’s easy enough to make as well. This is something I could make with my daughters.
I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin flavored treats. However, I think that I could substitute the chocolate roll and make this fun treat with my kids. RediWhip is one of our favorite toppings. We put it on pancakes, waffles, strawberries, and even in hot cocoa.
What an adorable idea! You had this non-baker at “no bake”. I know the kids would love these.
