Summer nights sometimes call for an easy dessert – like this Grilled Peanut Butter, Banana and Honey Dessert Fajita. Flour Tortillas are covered in peanut butter and layered with honey drizzled bananas, then grilled to a warm, gooey perfection. Warm peanut butter and sweet honey make this the perfect dessert to satisfy a sweet tooth, while the bananas keep it fresh enough for the summer heat.
This is a dessert that rivals s’mores as a Backyard BBQ and camping treat, and it takes only a couple of minutes to make! I’ll be honest, sometimes we even have these for breakfast!
All you need is a couple of flour tortillas, peanut butter, a banana and honey.
You’ll want to spread peanut butter over two tortillas, then layer thinly slices banana pieces over one of the tortillas.
Drizzle generously with honey and top with the second tortilla.
Now wrap the Peanut Butter, Banana and Honey dessert fajita in some tin foil and toss it on the grill for 2-3 minutes over medium heat. If it’s not grilling weather you can also stick in the oven.
Sometimes in the morning I’ll even toss one into a large pan on the stove for a couple of minutes before making eggs!
When it’s done the peanut butter will be warm and gooey – just slice it up and enjoy!
Look at those sweet bananas sandwiched in between warm peanut butter… the honey gives it just an extra touch of sweetness that takes this dessert fajita over the top!
My son loves to drizzle chocolate syrup over his, which is pretty delicious if you’re not a peanut butter and banana purist like me. Sometimes when we make them for a group I serve them up with extra honey, chocolate syrup and caramel sauce so our guests can customize their dessert!
This is one of those things that has me dreaming of warm summer nights sitting on the back patio with friends and family. What are some your favorite grill friendly desserts?
